About Jen

I’m Jen, founder of The Soul Coaching Academy. 


I guide capable women who have spent years holding everything together on the outside while quietly living in survival mode.


My work is grounded, relational, and deeply respectful of the nervous system. I do not rush change. I do not push insight. I hold space for completion.


This work is not about fixing yourself.


It is about creating enough safety to come back to who you are beneath survival.


How this work took shape


Before this work became my vocation, it was first my own path.


My professional background began in natural medicine and holistic health, where I trained as a Medical Herbalist in 2001. 


Over time, my work expanded into education, personal development, and product formulation within the health and wellbeing space.


Throughout those years, one insight became increasingly clear:


Lasting change does not happen through pressure, willpower, or insight alone.


It happens when the body feels safe enough to release what it has been holding.


This understanding naturally drew my work toward coaching and therapeutic support that honours both science and soul. 


I undertook further training in trauma-informed coaching, somatic approaches, belief repatterning, and nervous system aware modalities.


My learning continues, not as something to accumulate, but as something to integrate.


Lived experience and perspective


My personal journey has not been simple or linear.


Early experiences shaped patterns of responsibility, self-reliance, and emotional vigilance that, for many years, went unquestioned. In adulthood, these patterns played out in ways that required me to make profound changes to protect myself, rebuild trust, and create a life that did not require self-abandonment to function.


I share this not for impact, but for context.


Because I understand what it feels like to appear capable, and functional on the outside while internally feeling over-extended, disconnected, and unsure how to create change that truly lasts.


This perspective informs how I hold others now. With steadiness, discernment, and deep respect for timing.


What changed everything


My turning point came when I stopped trying to fix myself.


Instead, I focused on creating safety, self-trust, and grounded awareness. 


Through therapeutic work, nervous system support, belief repatterning, and soul-led practices, I rebuilt my life from clarity rather than survival.


Not by becoming someone new, but by ending the internal contracts that required me to stay vigilant, over-responsible, or disconnected from my own needs.


This shift changed everything.


It allowed me to create a life that feels stable, meaningful, and aligned- one that no longer requires me to abandon myself to keep everything going.


This is the foundation of the work I offer today.


How I work


I work relationally, at a pace the nervous system can truly integrate.


There is no pressure to perform.
No urgency to go deeper than feels safe.
No expectation to be ready before you are.


Change here is not forced. It is allowed.


My role is not to tell you who to be, but to walk beside you as you come back to yourself beneath the roles, expectations, and responsibilities you carry.


Why I do this work


I support women to create lives they no longer need to escape from.


Too many capable women are quietly living in survival mode- holding everything together on the outside while feeling depleted, disconnected, or unsure how to create lasting change.


I believe meaningful change happens through safety, honesty, and reconnection, not through force or urgency. 


When safety returns to the nervous system, clarity follows.

And when clarity is embodied, life begins to reorganise naturally.
